And...he's off

Finally at just over 10 months Jake has decided to crawl. He isn't fast by any means but he will get there in no time. He also really enjoys standing at things like the toy basket and the ottoman, and he cruises to the couch from there.....

All done

Jake did great this morning. Kenny took him back with the nurse at 7:15 and he was back to us in post-op at 7:30. He SCREAMED for about 20 minutes when he was waking up from the surgery and he has been his usual charming self since then. He ate a full bottle at 8:00 and had another one at 11:00 because he was not interested in his lunch.

He is doing great and napping now!! Thanks for all the well wishes :)

We are on again...

Okay, Jake is now schedule for surgery on Friday, April 18th at 7:15am. We are hoping insurance has it together by then but if not we will pay and file a claim ourselves. Jake just can't wait any longer to have this done....we don't want him wasting away to nothing;)

On Hold...

Jake did not have his surgery this morning as planned. About 3pm yesterday the facility called to let us know that the procedure was not covered by our insurance company. Needless to say that didn't give us much time to work on the problem. We are trying to reschedule ASAP so that Jake can get back to growing!! Keep your fingers crossed that we can get him in next week.

Hello Gene Simmons...

Jake is all set for surgery this Friday, April 11th at 7:30am. My sister tells me this is the surgery Gene Simmons had done so he could have that long ole tongue of his. If Jake comes out with that tongue I will send them back to fix it....

The doc says the whole procedure should take less than 10 minutes and we will have him back in no time. We are using the same doctor that my brother, Drew, used last summer. She is great. The surgery will be done at the Atlanta Surgery center next to Northside Hospital. Jake should be back to his happy-go-lucky self in a day or two.
